Literary translation workshop

The literary translation workshop facilitated by Dhia Bousselmi at the Hafsia primary public school from January to May 2023, is inspired by his background and his experiences in translating and adapting literary works such as ‘The Stranger’ by Albert Camus or ‘The Little Prince’ by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry into Tunisian dialect.
Through the discovery of their favorite readings in French or English as well as a selection based on these children’s wishes, it is a matter of improving the reading in the original language of the work and then translating excerpts of the work into Arabic or Tunisian dialect with the language and jargon of the children at the end of the workshop.
Lastly, some time will be devoted to recording the voices of the participants while reading their translations.
