Hala Omran


Hala Omran is a Franco-Syrian actress and singer. She graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus in 1994. She trained in Europe with major directors such as Eugenio Barba, Ariane Mnouchkine, and Matthias Langhoff. She performs in Arabic, English, and French, and has worked with artists like Pascal Rambert, David Bobée, Ali Chahrour, Sulayman Al Bassam, Abed Kobeissy, and Yousry Nasrallah. She also adapts poems and plays in multiple languages. 

Her talent has earned several awards, including Best Actress at the JTC and CIFET in 2011 (IMEDEA) and in 2023 and 2024 (MUTE). In 2023, she was nominated for the Gilder/Coigner International Theatre Award.
