Dressing Room
Bissane Al Charif, Hala Omran & Wael Ali
Damascus
Dressing Room questions the passage of time through wrinkles, memory, and politics. At the center: the female body, marked by the years, crossed by wars, social crises, and violence.
The play follows a unique quest: that of a magical recipe to overcome "the age of despair." The theater then becomes the place of experimentation, and the time of the show aligns with that of the preparation of this mysterious recipe.
With lightness, humor, and self-deprecation, Dressing Room explores this moment of tipping, between lucidity and resistance. It gives voice to women from different Arab countries, on both sides of the Mediterranean, who share their stories, their wounds, their resources.
A sensitive and biting performance, where the intimate meets the political, and where the body becomes a space of memory, speech, and invention.
