The 6th edition of the Dream City Festival of Art in the City, held from 4 to 8 October 2017, invited Tunisian and foreign artists to create contextually and in situ.

Since 2007, Dream City has regularly taken place in the medina of Tunis where Tunisian and foreign artists, invited in advance of the Festival, interact with the city, the street and its occupants (inhabitants or users of the medina), in order to give rise to artistic works which, once finalised, will be shared with the general public.

For its sixth edition, the DREAM CITY Festival offered a rich and varied programme with :

•  20 contextual artistic creations, including 10 projects directly involving citizens as performers;

•  27 artists from 12 different countries: Tunisia, Algeria, South Africa, Belgium, Lebanon, Egypt, Canada, France, Syria, Germany, Switzerland and Turkey;

•  5 mornings of free workshops and debates;

•  23 venues in the Medina;

•  3 free concerts in public spaces;

•  7 free events: performances, concerts, films, workshops and debates, affirming the public space as a place of freedom, diversity and experience.
