In Losing It, Samaa Wakim uses a dance solo to explore the repercussions of being a child in a war zone, exploring how this experience shapes her identity. She questions the trauma of past generations, manifested in her body, evoking through movement and sound the memories of her childhood and the imaginary world she created to survive. Accompanied by the sounds she produces and live music by choreographer Samar Haddad King, she oscillates between fear and hope, between the distressing and comforting sounds of her past.
