Éric Minh Cuong Castaing

Eric Minh Cuong Castaing's choreographic and filmic works explore relational modes, representations, and perceptions of contemporary bodies, blurring the binaries of real/fiction, nature/culture, organic/artificial. He thus connects bodies and dance, considered in their plurality (professional dancers, those with physical or social disabilities), and technologies (telepresence robots, drones...) in "in socius" creation processes, linked to societal realities in partnership with institutions outside the field of art (research laboratory, NGO, hospital...).

He collaborates with Marine Relinger (dramaturge), Aloun Marchal (co-choreographer), Anne-Sophie Turion (co-author of HIKU), Gaétan Brun Picard (pedagogy), Victor Zébo (video operator). Eric Minh Cuong Castaing founded the Shonen company in 2007. He is associated with Montpellier Danse until 2026 for the creation of Vision. He is also associated with the National Center for Adapted Creation in Morlaix – C.N.C.A., in Bourges, European Capital of Culture 2028, and in partnership with the Comédie de Genève and the Lambert Collection in Avignon.

With _P/\rc__ and Tarab, Éric Minh Cuong Castaing is taking part in Dream City for the first time. Both projects were developed in Tunis between 2024 and 2025.
