The Filipe Lourenço / Plan-K Company is looking for dancers for the recreation of GOUÂL In Situ, which will be presented in Tunis during the 9th edition of Dream City from September 22nd to October 8th 2023.

This new recreation follows the previous performance entitled Pulse (s) and will mainly focus on the relationships within the group and the community through the traditional dances of the Maghreb, the Alaoui dance in particular, a male warrior dance, which has its geographical origin on the borders between Morocco and Algeria.

It is not about reconstituting these dances or placing these ancestral rhythms on a partition, but rather on  deconstructing them in order to test to what extent they can nourish the contemporary and, in return, to experience the means of a renewal, adapting its forms to the challenges of the modern world.

The particularity of this recreation appears in weaving links between the music and dance movements that will be performed by these same dancers. Performers must have a rhythmic ease.
