Fakhri El Ghezal - Weld Hlima is in residence at L'Art Rue in 2023 with the project "And I couldn't See the Moon" in preparation for the Dream City 2023 festival.

"And I Couldn't See the Moon" is a complex visual apparatus that combines drawings (with bleach and ink), manuscripts, analog photographs, animations and video loops to create a contrapuntal narrative filled with autobiographical elements. This process, initiated at the beginning of the Corona pandemic, is not a an intimate diary but a transversal narrative in which hybrid fragments of childhood and a blurred future slowly navigate in order to bring out the memory, revealing itself intrinsically as a photo novel or a filmic essay.
