Sara Dziri
When and where?
Sara Dziri is a Belgian-Tunisian versatile music producer, composer, and DJ who likes to challenge the frameworks of how certain social themes are perceived, such as identity formation, the approach to art, and how boundaries can be blurred between music genres and also between art disciplines.
2022 is a key year with a performance composition for Belgian-Moroccan dancer/choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and the release of her debut album ‘Close To Home’ (Optimo Music). The album resulted in a very personal and emotional long-player. Together with Italian soloist Valentina Bellanova, who provided classic Arabic and Turkish Ney on the record, Sara created a signature live show.
Sara Dziri has been a resident at Fuse, the oldest techno club in Belgium, for several years. She is also cofounder of Not Your Techno, a traveling party concept that promotes inclusivity within the techno scene. With Black Hole, she ventures as a DJ & producer into her first interdisciplinary music and dance performance, engaging in dialogue with dancer-choreographer Yasmina Tayoub.
