Sonia Kallel
Sonia Kallel, is a Tunisian artist. She studied fashion design at the Higher School of Fashion Industries in Toulouse and graphic arts at the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Tunis. She received her Doctorate in Plastic Arts at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Centered on encounters and exchanges, her works are distinguished by their anthropological character and generally involve reflections around a social cause.
Her works have been exhibited at major artistic events such as the Venice Biennale, the Nomadic Workshops of the Quai Branly Museum in Paris and also as part of the Dream City festival in Tunis. Within L'Art Rue, Sonia Kallel led various workshops with children; "Medinetna", in 2016; "Rafkik" in 2017; and "Sāni' صَانِع" in 2021. She has also participated in the various programs of the Dream City festival.
