When and where?

Partners +

As part of the "Youth-led cultural and civic initiatives" component of the All-Around Culture international cooperation programme, L'Art Rue and its partners are delighted to invite you to discover Mohsen Bchir's "Thirst Republic" exhibition from 1 to 5 February at the Sainte-Croix cultural center, in the street of Jemaa Zitouna Medina of Tunis.

Over two years, Mohsen Bchir has investigated the environmental paradox of Nefza, tooled with a camera and driven by curiosity to find the roots behind this mind-boggling injustice.

Photographs and sound are fused via Augmented Reality to showcase scores of aspects unveiling the water-related struggles faced by the inhabitants.

> About Mohsen Bchir

Mohsen Bchir is an emerging interdisciplinary artist, working primarily with lens based media as his tools to narrate visual stories. Pursuing an Engineering degree in Industrial Biology (INSAT, TN), after graduating, he received the Fulbright scholarship to pursue a master of Fine Arts at Washington State University (WA,USA).

Conceptually, aside from his experimental approaches in his performance practices, he approaches his projects from a storytelling perspective, thinking both as an artist and a curator.
