The installation ... عن by Ala Eddine Slim and Malek Gnaoui created in the framework of the 8th edition of Dream City (2022), Festival of Art in the City, is invited to be exhibited within the context of the 15th Sharjah Art Biennial: Thinking Historically in the Present in the United Arab Emirates.


This invitation falls in line with L'Art Rue's desire to support creations and facilitate the dissemination of artworks created and produced in Tunisia.


Thus, Ayur (2019) then Libya (2022) by Radouan Mriziga, Grande Maison by Leila Soliman and Ruud Gielens (2015), Transe by Emir El Saffar (2019), Khouyoul by Kabinet K (2019) etc., all created and produced within the framework of the Art Festival in the City, Dream City, have been able to tour internationally and to be seen by various audiences.

The Sharjah Biennial is an international platform for exhibition and experimentation for artists from the region and beyond. Since 1993, the Sharjah Biennial has commissioned, produced and presented large-scale public installations, performances and films by artists around the world, bringing a broad range of contemporary art, cultural programmes and producers to the communities of Sharjah, the UAE and the region.


Sharjah Biennial 15 (SB15), titled Thinking Historically in the Present, conceived by the late Okwui Enwezor and curated by Hoor Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah Art Foundation, reflects on Enwezor’s visionary work, which transformed contemporary art and established an ambitious intellectual project that has influenced the evolution of institutions and biennials around the world, including the Sharjah Biennial. Bringing together more than 150 artists from over 70 countries, SB15 will take place in 16 venues across the emirate of Sharjah.
