Mounir Salah
Mounir Salah’s work spans documentary, narrative, and experimental film, as well as poetry and photography, and explores human emotion and spontaneous reactions to events and situations.
He has directed several independent short films including Haiku, Foolish Artists, An Iraqi Film, and Waiting. In 2021, he co-directed the short musical film Dream in collaboration with filmmaker and composer Amin Maqdad.
He is currently working on his first feature-length documentary, In Search of the Popular Philosopher, which he is writing, directing, and producing.
Born in Bagdad, lives and works in Baghdad.
