Cyrinne Douss

Tunisian and French dancer and choreographer, Cyrinne Douss sees her art as a place of encounter: a bridge between the shores, between practices, cultures, and histories on either side of the Mediterranean.

It was in 2010 that she began her professional career. Graduated in contemporary dance, she teaches to amateur and professional audiences in France and Tunisia. At the same time as she dances for other choreographers (Nawel Skandrani in 2016, Ballet de l'Opéra de Tunis in 2018 and 2019 with Héla Fattoumi and Eric Lamoureux, Emilio Calcagno, Mohamed Toukabri, Filippe Lourenço as part of Dream City 2023, and more recently Nancy Naous), she begins a writing project and signs her first pieces. As a young choreographer, she joined the Prototype IV training program at the Royaumont Abbey in 2016-2017, as well as the Special Edition #8 support program led by the CN D and La Belle Ouvrage in 2024.

Her latest creation "I Am Not White" (2023) marks a turning point in her artistic and aesthetic approach.
