Ali Eyal
Ali Eyal’s multidisciplinary practice spans drawing, painting, assemblage, and film, and considers the entanglements of personal memory, political violence, and loss.
Eyal has held solo exhibitions at Brief Histories, New York, and SAW Gallery, Ottawa, among others.
He participated in numerous group exhibitions including documenta fifteen and MoMA PS1.
His video work was included in the 22nd Biennial Sesc_Videobrasil, São Paulo; Rencontres Internationales, Paris; and Cairo Video Festival among others. His works are part of the collections of MOCA Los Angeles, Kadist Art Foundation, and Barjeel Art Foundation.
Born in Baghdad, he lives and works in Los Angeles.
