The ecological design and upcycling workshop "Rascal" opens its doors by appointment from 17 to 19 December 2020. After their three months of artistic residency in the heart of the medina of Tunis, come and discover the approach and the design objects produced from recovered materials by the artist Thomas Egoumenides and his collective.
How to alter the classical uses of an object at the end of its life to create hybrids ; crossbreeding varieties of waste from everyday life to form with these elements- borrowed from different functions- a new language?
Tunisia-based French architect and designer Thomas Egoumenides has developed over three months an ephemeral laboratory for the design and valorization of salvaged materials entitled #Rascal. This workshop housed in the heart of the medina of Tunis brings together five young people from this area. The objective is to offer them a different approach to work – a different outlook, and to accompany them towards professionalization. The open door exhibition allows you to discover the workshop, the productions and the approach of this residency.
From 17 to 19 December 2020 from 10:00 to 17:00 at the Rascal Atelier
