A commission from the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi - 2020
Selma and Sofiane Ouissi's research always focuses on the human condition and what drives everyday relationships. Commissioned by the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, the Tunisian duo directed five women artists from a distance for the Wajdan project.
Filmed at home by their mobile phones, they respond to the voice of Wajdan, a Syrian political refugee living in France, whose story was part of another artistic project by Selma and Sofiane Ouissi: Le Moindre Geste. An experimental video full of humanity, which questions social relations and the place of artists in times of crisis.
