Sarah is a curator, editor and writer based in Cairo. She is an Art History and Visual Studies graduate from the University of Toronto, and primarily works with photographs, installation, and text. Her projects often begin with sociolinguistics and draw from archival images and public space to investigate notions of erasure and memory. 

Sarofim was awarded the fall 2020 Editorial Residency at Canadian Art magazine, the 2022 For Display/On Review writing residency at WhipperSnapper Gallery and the 2024 Mophradat Artist Fellowship. Her work has appeared in Canadian Art Magazine, DAZED Qumra Journal, Femme Art Review and Photo Tribe Photo Magazine.

Sarah has edited for the Vermin Magazine, Canadian Art magazine, the Journal of Middle East Studies at the University of Toronto, Habashtakanat and D-CAF.
