Dream City 2025: the activity report is now available online

In October 2025, Dream City celebrated its 10th edition. Over 17 days, more than 23,400 people visited 34 heritage sites across the Medina of Tunis and Greater Tunis, discovering a multidisciplinary programme that was socially engaged and open to the world.

We are pleased to share the activity report for this anniversary edition. It brings together the stories, data and traces of a festival shaped by everyone who took part, supported it and helped make it possible.

As a festival of contextual artistic creation, Dream City grows out of places, their histories and the ways they are used. In the Medina and other parts of the city, from historic sites to restored spaces, the artworks create opportunities for artists, residents and the public to meet and connect.

This edition brought together artists from Tunisia, the SWANA region and around the world. It gave space to both emerging young artists and established artists, inviting them to create and rethink their practices within a unique context.

The festival’s 17 days make visible work that unfolds over time. Dream City is a creative platform where works take shape through residencies, research and dialogue that can span two to six years. Since its first experiments in 2007, the festival has continued to deepen its roots in the Medina, alongside its residents, its uses and the artists who create there.

“Dreaming with Precision” was therefore more than just the title of this 10th edition. It was also a way of working and being together: creating with high standards, coming together with purpose, and imagining ambitious futures while remaining firmly grounded in reality.
