Tfanen - Creation and dissemination grants
Guidelines for the "Creation Grant"
An initiative carried by L'Art Rue and supported by Tfanen - Tunisie Créative, a project to support the strengthening of the cultural sector, financed by the European Union within the framework of the Programme of Support to the Cultural Sector in Tunisia (PACT) of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The project is a collaboration of the EUNIC network (European Union National Institutes for Culture), implemented by the British Council.
The cultural and creative sectors are particularly affected by the current global crisis caused by the COVID-19. In Tunisia, this has resulted in the cancellation or postponement of hundreds of cultural activities or festivals. Cultural operators, especially artists, have experienced the same frustration as elsewhere due to this loss of freedom. Indeed, many artists have been confronted with a significant budget deficit caused by the extreme difficulty or impossibility of carrying out their activities. It therefore seems urgent to revitalise the relationship between cultural operators and society at large.
It is in this context that the "creation grants" will be awarded via a call for applications, as part of a joint action between Tfanen and L'Art Rue for a crisis support to the Tunisian cultural sector.
