For the pre-opening of Dream City, choreographer Éric Minh Cuong Castaing and the company Shōnen invite you to step into the dance, together with Lebanese-Palestinian musician Rayess Bek and seven dancers from Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, and Tunisia.

Tarab is a participatory performance — a shared celebration where popular traditions (dabkeh, taa’kib, social dances) meet contemporary gestures to spark a joyful, collective trance.

You are invited to join a hundred fellow dancers in this adventure. Through preparatory workshops, you will experience a sensitive and collective physical practice, where music, rhythm, and memory become a common language.

The energy born from the group will lead to an open-air performance, a living celebration of tarab to mark the opening of the festival.

Who can join?

Anyone 18+ — curious, amateur, or passionate. Alone or in a group.

Commitment

Attend at least two preparatory workshops, plus the dress rehearsal and the performance.
