All-Around Culture laboratories in Tunis

In the framework of the international cooperation programme All-Around Culture -ثقافة داير ما يدور, L'Art Rue implements the component "Youth-led cultural and civic initiatives" which aims to encourage community and contextual projects by adopting collaborative approaches, and to increase the knowledge and capacities of young artists, collectives and cultural actors from disadvantaged areas on the development of contextual work and community engagement in cultural and civic activities.

In this context, after a trilingual call for applications opened in autumn 2020, 32 projects were selected for a 9-month research phase.

From April to December 2021, these 32 project leaders from 7 countries (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan) will benefit from a research grant as well as a coaching from the L'Art Rue team to accompany them in the conceptualization and the conception of their projects.

This research phase ended with the laboratories of All-Around Culture -ثقافة داير ما يدور, which is a 5-day collective meeting in Tunis in early November 2021, where the laureates were able to meet each other, meet several experts, work together and consider the production phase which will be the second work phase for 24 selected projects out of the 32.
