Théâtre El Hamra

The dance workshop « The line », suggested by Marseille-based choreographer Andrew Graham, proposes to children from 7 to 16 years old to invent futuristic forms of solidarity by dancing. Together, amateurs, semi-professionals, people with or without disability and full of different dance experiences, will experiment with their individual body’s articulations as well as the movement of a groupe in a space.

The image of the line, as a group formation in space, allows to also explore its diversity, its individual’s diversity, experiences, imagination and physicality. Hand in hand, the line allows us to connect to each other, to complement and evolve together in a space. This shape is also a playful way for young people to explore questions of synergy and to allow each one of us to find our genuine dance in a cohesive and caring group.

How can you be yourself and be part of a group ? How can you make a group with a diversity of bodies ? So many questions cross this research and experimentation, but especially encounters and exchange, workshop.
