When and where?
The National centre of puppet art is an art institution dependant of the Ministry of cultural Affairs. Created in 1993, it tops off the itinerary of the ex-troop of the Puppet theatre of Tunis founded in 1976 thanks to the efforts of an elite of puppet artists convinced of the essential role this art can play as a cultural expression and as a privileged playful and educational vector.
Since its creation, the C.N.A.M. attended to essential tasks : creating, producing and diffusing a quality product that could match with the evolution of the needs and wants of a young public.
Furthermore, the C.N.A.M. participated through its own creations at the elaboration of a specific aesthetic inspired by Tunisian cultural heritage, as well as staying open on the world experiences in this domain.
