Cyrinne Douss
A French and Tunisian dancer and choreographer, Cyrinne Douss sees her art as a meeting place: a bridge between the shores, between practices, cultures and histories on both sides of the Mediterranean.
She began her professional career in 2010. With a state diploma in contemporary dance, she teaches both professional and amateur audiences in France and Tunisia. At the same time as working as a dancer for other choreographers (Nawel Skandrani in 2016, Ballet de l'Opéra de Tunis in 2018 and 2019 with Héla Fattoumi and Eric Lamoureux, Emilio Calcagno, Mohamed Toukabri and Filippe Lourenço as part of Dream City 2023), she began writing her first pieces (Unes/2011, 1000 peaux/2012, Filantes/2017, Zwez/2018). Her latest creation ‘Je ne suis pas blanche’ (2023) marks a turning point in her artistic and aesthetic approach.
In 2024, Cyrinne was selected for the Edition Spéciale #8 support programme for choreographers run by the CND and La Belle Ouvrage.
