In 2016, Jean-Baptiste André presented Floe, a choreographic performance set to a scenographic work by visual artist Vincent Lamouroux. Designed to be performed outdoors, the show encounters the landscape and its audience, extending the horizon.
Floe is a pure, unadorned confrontation between a body and a space. A man finds himself in the grip of an astonishing relief that he will have to cross to save himself.
Exploring this terra incognita leads to a series of movements: a man appears and disappears according to the asperities of the sculpture. The result is a poetic of pure action, suspending time and inviting the viewer to follow with empathy the risk-taking and the surpassing of oneself.
