الڨمرة وما شفتهاش (And I couldn't See the Moon) is a complex visual apparatus combining bleach and ink drawings, manuscripts and video animation.
It reveals a transversal narrative of sequences in which memory manifests itself through luminous appearances made of chemistry and pigments. These visions-revelations emerge in the form of scattered and layered sequences and fragments of memories of the prison exile and the confinements caused by the corona pandemic.
In this poetics of self-implosion, solitude guides us on an introspective journey of particles and light. "And I couldn't See the Moon" immerses us step by step in the singular universe of Fakhri El Ghezal [Weld Hlima], which unfolds like a photo-novel or an exploded film essay.
