Shereen Abdo is a vocal activist and pioneer of Cairo folk music. She mixes traditional and modern sounds in her varied and daring style. She sings in different genres, from electronic to progressive rock, and collaborates with famous musicians and theatre companies.
She is also politically active, supporting causes such as Fan al-Midan. Sehreen has won numerous awards, participated in several festivals and toured with legends such as Ziad Rahbani.
