Sammy Baloji and Fiston Mwanza Mujila in residency at Brussels
Congolese artists Sammy Baloji and Fiston Mwanza Mujila who will be in residency at L'Art Rue in 2023 as part of the preparation of the Dream City 2023 festival are currently in Brussels with Fiston Mwanza Mujila for a first phase of writing work. Artists to follow throughout the year.
Sammy’s practice is developed around the use of photographic archives which allows him to manipulate time and space, and to compare ancient colonial narratives and contemporary economic imperialisms.
