Serge-Aimé Coulibaly
Serge Aimé Coulibaly was born in 1972 in Bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, and has been working in Europe and beyond since 2002.
His projects, including C LA VIE (2023), WAKATT (2020), Kirina (2018), Kalakuta Republik (2016), have been presented in theaters and festivals around the world.
His open-minded view of the world and its differences, his constructive attitude, and his determination to persevere have led him to collaborate with numerous artists, including Moïse Touré, Farid Berki, Julie Dossavi, Alain Platel, Kalpana Raghuraman, and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
He often works on international productions as a performer and choreographer. His recent projects include Les statues rêvent aussi (2022) and Balau (2024) at the Münchner Kammerspiele, The nite before tomorrow with Ace Dance Company (United Kingdom), and choreography for Africa Day 2024.
In 2012, he founded ANKATA in Bobo-Dioulasso, an international performing arts laboratory dedicated to experimentation, creation, and engaged reflection.
