Influenced by sounds, urban poetics, loud machinery and the spontaneous songs of the medina of Tunis. Through Electronic Maqâms, Tunisian DJ and producer Aly Mrabet grants us a sonic journey combining small stories of everyday life with the great dramas and the tumultuous joys of the inhabitants. He thus composes the origins of an ever neglected, sonic collective memory.

Electroniq Maqâms draws from the city to freely offer harmonies and melodies reinterpreted by the artistic approach of Aly Mrabet and Nacim Gastli, in collaboration with Selim Arjoun. This creation has for rhythm and cadence that of the districts of the medina. The melody alternates between electronic machines, artistic collaborations and captured sound atmospheres.
