The Cypher project started in 2020 in Sidi Bouzid, in the form of an artistic residency dedicated to young breakdancers, which was pursued in the form of an artistic laboratory combining documentary cinema and dance. It then became a collective experience inviting other artists including choreographers and dancers Mohamed Toukabri, Sofiane Ouissi as well as musician Jihad Khmiri.
Ridha Tlili presents his work as an experiment based on the mixing of artistic disciplines, resulting in a creative act in which the body takes precedence. A body that acquires the status of presence rather than visible. A body that is present rather than visible. A body that comes to break the routine where, when mechanical life stops, the dancer starts performing.
