CALL FOR APPLICATION – Art & Education Intern



Since its founding, L’Art Rue has been committed to integrating art into public schools and expanding artistic opportunities for children. The organization uses artistic practice as a means to engage children and their immediate environments, viewing it as an effective tool to address and reduce violence in childhood. Over the past 15 years, L’Art Rue has developed a comprehensive Art and Education program working closely with children and their communities. We are seeking an intern to join the Art & Education team.


Main responsibilities

Art education workshops

- Support planning and delivery of art workshops at the association’s space and in schools

- Assist artists and facilitators with workshop coordination and follow-up

- Manage workshop logistics (reception, materials purchasing, supervising/transporting children)

- Help coordinate youth volunteers and organize their schedules

- Support assistants to visiting artists/facilitators

- Create short workshop booklets outlining content and objectives

- Assist with photo and video coverage of program activities


Psycho-educational support for children and parents

- Support scheduling and follow-up of sessions and meetings

- Coordinate logistical setup for activities (reception, space, materials)

- Serve as a link between families, children, and the psychological team


Reporting and archiving

- Perform daily reporting tasks

- Assist with data collection (narrative reports, activity evaluation and reporting)

- Support improvement and development of monitoring and evaluation tools

- Help document and archive program materials


Candidate profile


Education & experience

- Undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in humanities, social sciences, arts, design, languages, psychology, political science, cultural project management, or related fields

- Experience working with children is desirable

Skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Good writing abilities

- Organized and detail-oriented

- Team player

- Fluent in Arabic and French; English is a plus

- Photography, video, and editing skills are an advantage

- Sensitivity to issues of childhood and the arts


Internship terms

- Full-time internship, 5.5 months

- Period: June 15, 2026 – December 31, 2026 (one-month break in August)

- Location: L’Art Rue headquarters, Tunis Medina
