Actress, playwright and translator, Adeline Rosenstein will be in residency at L'Art Rue from May 13 to 17, 2024. This artist had had already responded in 2019 to the invitation of Dream City and presented her docu-theatrical project in Tunis «Décris-Ravage», which critically examines the Palestinian question through the historical prism.

Her new artistic research will result in a documentary opera. This co-production of L'Art Rue will focus on the issue of resistance, women’s activism and revolt movements based on interviews conducted from Tunis with different generations of women, who participated in the Bread Riots or close to the Palestinian resistance during the presence of the headquarters of the Organization of Liberation of Palestine (PLO) in Tunis in the 1980s.

In parallel, and in complementarity, interviews will take place with women who were involved in the revolutionary uprising of 2011 in Tunisia.
