L'Art Rue
As part of the artistic training in dance and choreography offered by L'Art Rue as part of the Massari programme and directed by Radouan Mriziga, mentors have been invited to enrich the training and experience of the participants, one of them is Daniel Blanga, writer and curator in the performing arts, who will be taking part from 19 to 21 February 2025 at L'Art Rue.
Daniel Blanga Gubbay is a writer and performing arts curator. Since 2018 he has served as the artistic co-director of the Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels. He has worked as an educator and independent curator on performances and public programs, including The Telepathic School (Ural Biennale, Yekaterinburg, 2021), Yogurt and Other Spaces of Labour (Ashkal Alwan, Beirut, 2021), Four Rooms (online, 2020), Can Nature Revolt? (Manifesta, Palermo, 2018), and Live Works at Centrale Fies (2014–2018). He is a founding member of Celador—a space for doing things with words, in Brussels—and in the artistic committee of the Beirut Art Centre. He teaches in various contexts, including a weekly class titled Contemporary Salmon at the Brussels Royal Academy of Fine Arts. His writings have been published in South as a State of Mind, e-flux, Mada Masr, and Performance Journal (New York).
