Call for application: Internship Art and Education Assistant
L’Art Rue Association
Since its creation, L’Art Rue has been committed to integrating art into public schools and expanding access to artistic experiences for children. Art is the main tool through which the association works with children and their immediate environment.
Art is considered an effective medium for helping to deconstruct violence in children. Over the past 15 years, L’Art Rue has developed its Art and Education program with this goal in mind.
As part of this work, L’Art Rue is looking for an intern to support its Art and Education department.
Main Tasks
Art Education Workshops:
- Support the organization and implementation of workshops at the association's venue and in schools
- Assist artists and facilitators in coordinating and monitoring workshops
- Handle workshop logistics (welcoming participants, making purchases, accompanying and transporting children)
- Help manage youth volunteers and their schedules
- Support artist assistants in their tasks
Dream City Festival:
- Support the organization of Kharbga City, a program for young audiences during Dream City festival
- Accompany and supervise children during the festival
- Help manage the team of volunteers involved in Kharbga City
Reporting and Archiving:
Perform daily reporting tasks:
- Fill attendance sheets
- Support data collection (narrative reports, activity evaluations, feedback)
- Help improve and develop monitoring and evaluation tools
- Assist with archiving program materials
Profile
Education and Experience:
Undergraduate or Master’s degree (in progress or completed) in humanities, social sciences (arts, languages, psychology, political science...) or cultural project management
Experience working with children is an asset
Skills:
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong writing skills
Organized and detail-oriented
Team player
Fluency in Arabic and French
Internship Conditions
- Full-time internship
- Duration: 6 months, from July 1st to December 31th, 2025
- Based at L’Art Rue headquarters, in the Medina of Tunis
